Great Britain - October, 1999

In 1999 we visited Great Britain.  Since our friends, Stephanie and Tom were living in London, we took advantage of this opportunity to visit. Our trip included a 24-hour layover in Amsterdam where we stayed on a house boat in one of the city's many canals. Upon arriving in London, we rented a car and headed north. In England, we stopped in ..., Richmond, and York en route to Scotland. Once in Scotland we spent time in Edinburgh before driving to the Highlands. Heading south to Wales, we stopped at ... . We were only in Wales a short time before continuing to Bath. We finally returned to London where we completed our trip. Fun fact about this trip: It is the only time we have ever rented a car on that side of the Atlantic.
